A little bit of History
Charlie's was named after my dad who had a wealth of over 45 years patisserie experience. His attention to detail and taste and work ethic has guided me to this stage. He called a spade a spade and his passion for good produce reflected in his work. Always giving 110%.
My name is Lyn and I have over 18 years of culinary experience working absolutely in all sections in a kitchen from the lowest level to the highest level. Fully qualified in larder and patisserie and currently in the second year of my Business Foundation Degree.
My goal is to produce healthy products that taste amazing, hence my motto, "Gluten Free without compromising taste!" We use recyclable packaging within food packaging regulations and strive to be as green as possible.
Combining recipes is my favorite thing.
Creating delicious memories for exquisite tastes
I have put a lot of thought and effort into this venture because for many chefs gluten free baking is a bit of a challenge as your products have to be consistent every time. Nothing can be “winged”. All of our products are produced in a 100% cross contamination free environment and being a coeliac myself I fully understand the importance of eating safely.
All my past experiences are coming into play now as I have made the leap to open Charlie's for business producing goods in a very competitive gluten free market. It's an exciting time and my goal is to supply local businesses with premium Gluten Free products at an affordable price.
Private Hire Chef for Events and Dinners
Another aspect of what we do is private hire events where I come and cook for you at your venue. I am able to offer my own delicious set menus or cook to your requirements.
This service is available at an hourly or fixed rate and I travel throughout Cornwall. Gluten Free is obviously one of my specialities but we cater for all tastes and preferences. Please contact me directly for prices and details.
